Surveillance

The purpose for surveillance is to monitor the behavior, activities and associates of an individual or surveil a specific location for the purpose of gathering information.  This information can equip an individual or business when making important decisions.

People have various reasons for needing to know the activities of another. A partner may need to know if there is a reason they should be concerned about their relationship. When facing child custody issues, it is important to know the activities and associates of the parent in question.  Is a parent withholding visitation claiming COVID-19 as the reason but allowing their child to engage in actives that dispute this claim? An employer may want to know if an employee is committing theft.  A parent may need to know how a babysitter is caring for their children outside of the home or need to know the activities of their teen outside of the home. A community may need evidence of illegal activity to present its concerns to law enforcement so they can address it.

If surveillance is conducted illegally the investigative agency and the client can face serious legal actions. Many investigative agencies promote the use of a GPS tracking device that can be placed on a target vehicle. However, unless a vehicle is jointly titled, rented or leased in the client’s name it is illegal to place a GPS on it and there will be legal repercussions for the client and agency. If a surveillance is requested by an individual who has a protective order against them or one of their associates requests it on behalf of them, it is illegal and the individual or their associates will be in violation of the order and will face legal repercussions. We urge you to avoid any agency who promotes the free use of GPS tracking and who does not background their clients to confirm there are no protective orders in place. Such agencies are putting their clients at risk of legal troubles.

Prodigy Investigative Group maintains the highest level of integrity when conducting surveillance to ensure the credibility of the investigation and will not place their clients in a questionable legal dilemma. We use top-quality surveillance equipment and covert cameras to record activities where the use of a hand-held is not practical. Clients are given a verbal report at the conclusion of the case followed by a professionally written report with supporting photo and video evidence. We will work with your legal team on all child custody cases and provide trial testimony.

We highly recommend our two-person surveillance team to our clients. This will significantly reduce the risk of the subject of the surveillance detecting they are being followed and put them on alert dismantling any future attempts of surveillance. With our one or two-person surveillance team, we will always strive to provide you the answers so you can make an informed decision.
